IPL Governing Council meeting in Chennai

The IPL Governing Council which is a sub committee of the Cricket Board, is supposed to meet on 22nd April, 2013 in Chennai.  The actual agenda for the meeting is not yet clear but one of the agenda items could be reconfirmation of Chennai as the Venue of IPL's first two play off games - Qualifier 1 and Eliminator which are scheduled on 21st and 22nd May, 2013 respectively.    IPL decided earlier in March that Chennai would be out of bounds for Sri Lankan players representing various franchises in the IPL tournament due to security considerations.  Chairman of IPL Rajeev Shukla said that the Governing Council decided that Sri Lankan players will not participate in Pepsi IPL 2013 League matches in Chennai.  Qualifier and the Final are scheduled to be played at Kolkata on 24th may and 26th May respectively.
